REVIEW: Blackmores Hair, Skin & Nails!

Hello Readers,

Today I am reviewing Blackmores Hair, Skin and Nails vitamins. After dying my hair my blonde and then back to black it is damaged, short and I just want it longer to be honest. My skin is fine however who cant do with a bit of improvement and my nails are always in a bad state of affairs with my consist need to put acrylics on them, the fact I used to bite them when I was younger and they are naturally oily, bittle and weak hmph.

Alas, I had heard about this supplement and thought I would give it a go. On the bottle it says it takes up to 12weeks to show results, however I saw results after 1 1/2 months of using this, I finished the whole bottle. Which took me two months, the bottle is only meant to last for one month as your meant to take 1 tablet twice daily, however I only ever took 1 tablet a day as I only remembered it in the morning when taking other medication. I can only imagine the results if I was taking it twice a day.

RESULTS:
HAIR: WOW!! What a difference, when I started taking these tablets, my hair was above my shoulders and has now grown about an inch in 2 months. My hair doesnt ever normally grow this fast so I attribute this to the tablets. My hair is also stronger, healthier and Ive had a lot less breakage.

NAILS: Again I saw great results, my nails also dont grow very fast and yet they have been growing about a milameter every few days, I have also taken my acrylics off to see how fast they can improve my nails and possibly even make them stronger?

SKIN: This was the only disappointment for me, I have had a few breakouts however I have had some stress lately (which breaks me out) I have also been using different makeup etc. So I dont attribute this to the tablets at all. If anything my skin is about the same.

PACKAGING: I liked the packaging, I dont have much to say of the subject as I like all the Blackmores packaging, very clean, neat and lablled well.

PRICE: This cost me $20.00AUD I found that to be reasonable and Im not put off by it at all, for what your getting Im very happy. This wouldnt be a product for everyone, however I was desperate for a hair miracle.

BOTTOM LINE: I really enjoyed this, and will be repurchasing. I give this product 9/10.

Until next time,

NOTD - Back to Brights!

Hello Readers,

Today's NOTD is brought to you by MIKI the colour is simply No.18. I LOVE this colour, I found this brand at the chemist, just about any chemist is Perth, Western Australia. I have seen it at serveral all different stores and have picked up a couple to test them and because Im a nail polish junkie and cant resist a pretty colour. I describe this colour as Aquamarine and I think the company should read this and name it accorrdingly lol.

It has mirco-shimmer in it, which as you know are my favourites types of polishes. I love the finish of this polish, it isnt very glossy however that doesnt bother me because the colour is so eye-catching. I applied two coats, and it was very opaque after even one. I havent got anything like this in my collection and this is a colour I will wear and wear again, especially on my toenails. This will be great in Spring and Summer however in Winter I like this to brighten up outfits and generally my mood.

NOTD: Street Chic

Hello Readers,

Today's NOTD is brought to you by China Glaze, Street Chic. It being Winter and all I have been enjoying wearing more neutral and darker colours on my nails. Now you'll have to forgive me and my nails, as I recently decided to remove my acrylics (again) and back to my natural nails, to give them a break and also to test the Hair, Skin and Nails vitamins I have been taking (review in near future). So because of this my nails are in an appauling state.

Getting back to the point, after my last bright colour I was in the mood for a more typical colour and choose this one. It is a taupe-brown colour, which is all too perfect for Winter and I found it went with every outfit I wore (yes, thats important). As far as my time working with it, I found it to be ok (not very descriptive I know) however I didnt find it to be very spectacular nor tragic. It isnt a colour I would automatically think of to wear again however I am glad I have it for Winter and occasions where I would like a nudish kind of colour.

NOTD - WetnWild Tropicalia

Hello Readers!!

Today's nail of the day is brought to you by WetnWild. So when the time came around to paint my nails I was on the hunt through my new polishes and was looking for a dark colour or a bright colour and settled upon this as I would describe it as a orange/pink coral colour. It isnt as bright as some colours I have nor is it too pink or orange.

This polish is from the megalast range and I havent tried any WetnWild polishes (or products) before as there aren't available in Australia. This polish also has a Manicurve Pro Brush. You can see by the picture below the polish looks slighty more orange, I describe this as a true coral. This picture was also taken on Day 3 on the polish being on over the top of my acrylic nails.

False light, 2 coats

My first impressions in using this polish, I wasnt very happy with the brush I dont tend to like bigger brushes as I find they can overcoat your nails, or overlap and spill over to your skin. This brush wasnt too bad for all the above mentioned, however, the bristles were what I had a problem with they felt cheap and they seemed to flick out. It terms of the consistency it was opaque and a bit thick, I dont tend to mind that at all though, unless it is gluggy which it wasnt.

It is Winter in Australia so typically some people like to wear darker colours, I dont have this mindset I will wear whatever Im in the mood for and this caught my eye. I will wear this colour again and I do enjoy but Im not ready to reccommend this or rave about it yet, I do want to try a few more of my colours.

Review: E..L.F Cream Blush - Heartbreaker!

Hello Readers!

Today I am reviewing E.L.F's Cream Blush, I have the colour Heartbreaker. I recently did a haul from http://www.eyeslipsface.com/ and had it shipping to me via my forwarding service. I LOVE E.L.F so Im always excited to receive packages from them and although I dont like filming haul videos for you anymore, I will review the products and feature them in tutorials.

False light

I typically like a very high impact cheek and therefore tend to gravitate towards very pigmented colours, however even this blush scared me in its packaging and I was a little intimadated to try it. I needed be because when I started swatching it (Im sorry for not actually posting swatches) it was very sheer, and I mean VERY sheer. It would take at least 6 swatches to build it up to the colour it is in the container. Is this a bad thing? I dont think so, as much as I like bright cheeks I dont like it to be very obvious Im wearing blush, I just like a flushed look, I have very pigmented lips and broken capillaries around my cheeks that give the flushed look anyway so instead on muting that, I embrace it.

The consistency is quite strange to me, it not very creamy at all. It almost feels like a cream to powder finish and not what I was expecting from a cream blush, however again I dont think this is a problem, I like cream blushes however I have oily skin so I dont want it to look particulary creamy on my skin. This is quite matte and has a very sutble sheen to it that looks like a highlight, so I was very impressed.

Application was tricky, I had recently cleaned my brushes so my brush was slightly damp and therefore didnt pick up much product, so I resorted to my fingers which worked great and the product blending out very nicely, since it isnt very creamy you dont get a lot of time to blend, so work quickly.

Packaging: Now a lot of people make a fuss over E.L.F cream eyeliners packing (which is the same but smaller) I dont mind them, however this annoys me because it is a larger product. My eyeliners fit nicely in my makeup drawers, however Im not sure how Im going to pack this away because of the size, I was actually considering de-potting it. So this so far is the only knock to the product.

Bottom line: I like this product, Im not in a rush to go buy other colours because I have tried better cream blushes, however I really do enjoy this product and have no regrets for purchasing it.
Would I reccommend it? Yes
Rating: 3/5

Until next time

NOTD - First Class Ticket!

Hello Readers!

Todays nail of the day is brought you you by China Glaze - First Class Ticket. I recently made a purchase from http://www.mbeautylounge.com/ which included some China Glaze nail polishes. I have used China Glaze polishes in the past but not for a few years so I couldnt wait to receive these and try them. This polish is particulary gorgeous, I would describe this as a very deep purple almost blue with micro shimmer in it.

2 coats, natural light

The consistency was very nice, not quite as thin as O.P.I however not as thick as other brands I have tried example B.Y.S (however I heart their polishes) it was a happy medium. It dried in a desirable amount of time and lastest on my acrylic nails for about 5 days of course then I had to take it off and try another one of my polishes.

If you haven't tried China Glaze I would reccommend you do and pick up this shade if you can, I dont have anything like this in my collection and am very happy to add it in.
